Feeding our souls

When we speak with others about what they really miss, as a result of being locked down during the Covid epidemic, it is striking how it is the loss of softer more human and indeed creative items that seem to challenge us most.
The touch of a hand, a night out with friends, hugging an elderly relative, and indeed going out to live music.
These are strikingly human activities, that on any rational basis we should be well able to do without, but we are learning that there is more to life than the things that keep us alive.
If we are learning nothing else, it should be that feeding our soul, our sense of belonging, and place are as important as the meals we eat and the bed we sleep in.
Often, when we are challenged it is the best version of ourselves that shows up, that steps us and reminds us not just of the person that we aspire to be, but who we truly are.
What have you learned from the Covid experience, and how will you act upon this in the future?
